The Saint Cecilia Sports Program goal is to ensure that every student has fun in a safe atmosphere while developing athletic skills, good sportsmanship and competitiveness through positive coaching and spectator support.
Welcome to the St. Cecilia sports page, the home of the Cougars. Saint Cecilia School offers a vibrant Sports Program. Getting children involved in sports is a great way to become physically fit as well as to develop life and social skills. Each student at Saint Cecilia School, regardless of experience is encouraged to play for our teams. Active participation is a way of showing School spirit, sportsmanship and to develop life-long friendships.
Dear Parents/Guardians
Welcome to the 2021-2022 St. Cecilia Sports season. The cross country team is currently accepting sign ups for the team. Shortly they will begin practices and be having their cross-country meets at Slater Park.
Cheerleading registrations are currently ongoing. Any child in grades Kindergarten - 8th Grade are welcome to join. Please see Miss LeFort for the registration & concussion form.
Basketball registrations will begin in the late fall. Any child in grades 3-8 interested in playing basketball this season as part of the Cathoic Athletic League. Please see Mr. Olson for a registration packet.
We are also in need of coaches as well. We are in need of basketball coaches for all of our boys and girls basketball teams.

All coaches must be CAL certified. If interested in coaching you must take the following steps.
Take the one night Play like a Champion Class. The class will certify you for three years and can be renewed online once your three year certification is up.
You must have a criminal background check done. It is also, good for three years and costs only $5.00
Complete the Safe Enviornment training, which only takes a few minutes with Mrs. Zagorski.
For whatever sport you coach you will be required to attend one coaches meeting where you will go over league rules and receive your coaches badge that you will be required to wear at every game.
Mr. Olson will handle all registrations and putting rosters together, as well as reserving all gyms and fields for basketball and soccer. Also, all sports and first aid equipment before and after the season. He will also handle any questions and issues pertaining to the league, schedules or practice as the middleperson.
Coaches will be in charge of equipment during the season as well as contacting players regarding schedules and practices.

Any parent or adult over the age of 18 interested in coaching any of our sports may do so by completing the following steps.
1. All prospective coaches must complete the ASEP coaching training designated by the Catholic Athletic League. This training is a two night class that will certify you for life as a Catholic Athletic League Coach. Payment for the class is $65.00. All other information can be found on the registration form. Please contact Mr. Olson for a registration form.
2. Complete a BCI and Safe Environment Training. Please contact Mrs. Zagorski at 401-723-9463, Ext. 12, for training dates and times.
We encourage anyone interested in coaching to contact Mr. Olson or Mrs. Tetzner. Coaching is a rewarding way to make a positive difference in the lives of our children!
