What time does school begin and end?
Students may enter the building at 7:35 a.m., and report directly to their classroom where their teacher will greet them. The school day begins for Pre-K to Grade 8 at 7:45 a.m. The school day ends for Pre-K and Kindergarten at 2:00 p.m, Grades 1-3 at 2:10 p.m and Grades 4-8 2:15 p.m.
How much is tuition for the academic year 2023-2024?
The standard tuition rate is $6,375 per child with multi-child discounts available. Pre-K tuition full-time, five days per week is $637.50 per month, three days per week is $420 per month; part-time, five days per week is $415 per month and three days per week is $315 per month. The tuition rate for parishioners of the Parish of Saint John Paul II, who meet stated criteria as indicated on the Tuition and Fees form, in grades K-8 is $6,250 per child. There is a non-refundable registration fee of $200 per child/$100 for Pre-K, which is due at the time of registration. *Tuition that is paid in full by August 28, 2023 – the registration fee will be deducted directly on those FACTS accounts once these are completely set-up. Payment methods and dates will be available through FACTS once the account is in place.

Is financial aid available?
Saint Cecilia School offers tuition assistance from diocesan resources. Please visit the following pages for additional information: Anchor of Hope Scholarship, Diocese of Providence, FACTS Management. The deadline for completing and submitting an application for tuition assistance in anticipation of the upcoming academic year is February 14th. Is there a full-day Pre-K and Kindergarten Program?
Yes, there is a full-day Pre-K Program as well as a full-day Kindergarten Program. A student entering Pre-K must be 3 years of age on or before Sept. 1 of that year and toilet trained. A student entering Kindergarten must be 5 years of age on or before Sept. 1 of that year.
Is there a Middle School Program?
Yes, Grades 6 – 8 occupy the second floor of the School and enjoy an integrated Middle School curriculum including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Technology, Physical Education, Health, Music, Family Life-“Circle of Grace”, World Languages (Spanish), and Art.
How integrated is technology in your school?
Very much so! Our entire school is wireless, we have a state-of-the-art Computer Lab equipped with 31 new HP all-in-one computers. We work with the latest operating systems and software. Saint Cecilia School currently has seven classrooms equipped with SMART Boards.
Do you have a hot lunch program?
We currently do not have a lunch program.
Do you have an After School Program?
Yes. The Extended Day Program from 2:15 – 5:30 p.m., serves a snack, provides various activities for students and is available during school days for students enrolled at Saint Cecilia School. Rates are $7.00 per hour or $1.75 per fifteen minutes. Please click here for an application.
Is there a Dress Code?
Yes, all students are required to wear the Saint Cecilia School uniform, which is delineated in the Student and Parent Handbook. Uniforms are purchased directly through Flynn O'Hara Uniforms.
Are there co-curricular activities?
Yes, we offer a vibrant sports program, which includes cross-country, basketball, cheerleading, and volleyball. We offer a Drama Program, Chorus, Science Fair, and a myriad of other activities.
How safe are students, faculty, and staff at Saint Cecilia School?
Safety and security is our number one priority. Access to the school building is controlled at all times and our entrances are monitored by 24 hour surveillance cameras. No one may enter the building freely without first securing permission from the Main Office. All visitors are required to wear a Visitor Badge while in the building.
Is Saint Cecilia School an accredited educational facility?
Yes, our school is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and by the Rhode Island Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Is it possible to visit Saint Cecilia School?
Yes, we encourage and welcome you to arrange for a visit. Prospective students are invited to come and “shadow” another student for the day. Visits may be arranged by contacting the Main Office at 401-723-9463, Ext. 3.
