Saint Cecilia School is a Pre-K through Grade 8 Catholic parochial elementary-middle school. To fulfill our mission statement, we follow the Christian principle, “to strive daily to give witness to the love of God and to bring the presence of Christ to all people through loving service.” Our faculty and staff teach with love, dedication, concern and understanding. The academic program at Saint Cecilia School follows the guidelines of the Diocese of Providence Catholic School Office and the Rhode Island Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Our goal is to touch the mind and heart of each student entrusted to our care. Saint Cecilia School curriculum includes an integrated religion-family life program which includes Circle of Grace, a Safe Environment curriculum. A solid foundation is the basis for reading, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education, computer technology, Spanish, music and library. The Middle School Program is departmentalized and students study religion, English, literature, science, mathematics, social studies, Spanish, music and computer technology. Pre-Algebra and Algebra I are offered to students in grades 7 and 8 who qualify. Many of our students who graduate from Saint Cecilia School are accepted at Catholic high schools, including: Saint Raphael Academy, La Salle Academy, Mount Saint Charles Academy, Bishop Hendricken, Saint Mary Academy-Bay View and Bishop Feehan.
